First Christian Church
First Christian Church teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, most often verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “That we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine” Romans 1:12.
Pastor’s Message
How does man get right with God? The apostle Paul states that by the law no one living will be considered justified in Gods sight. People cannot be seen as righteous or just by simply observing the deeds of the law. There is no salvation in works, because the purpose of the law was to bring the Jew and the Gentiles to a “knowledge” of sin and mans sin nature.
So how does a Jew or Gentile get right with God if the law cannot justify him before a righteous God? Romans 3:21-23 says “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, it is through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ to all who believe and trust in Him. For there is no difference whether one is a Jew or a Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 14:1-3 that “there is none righteous, no not one; there is none that understand; there is none who seek after God.”
All have missed the mark God has set for them, the only hope is coming to faith in Jesus Christ. That is what Paul says in Romans 3:25:“being justified freely by God’s grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
