Stone Soul is an eight piece, hornblowing, foot-stomping classic soul and Motown tribute band that has built a reputation as one of the hardestworking, most entertaining bands performing in Leisure World.
With their snazzy suits, fancy footwork and spot-on renditions of soul and Motown hits, this band will have people dancing the jerk, the mashed potato and the twist to smash hits from Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Otis Redding, James Brown and more.
Stone Soul has opened for classic soul and Motown legends like Stevie Wonder, BB King, Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and The O’Jays. They even opened for Huey Lewis & The News at the San Antonio Alamodome.
The band performed at over 400 Southern California summer concerts to over 1 million fans (affectionately named “Stone Souldiers”) as part of the California Park & Recreation Society’s “Parks Make Life Better!” Summer Concert Tours. The band’s original song, “At The Park,” became a sing-along summer anthem to celebrate California’s beautiful public parks.
The Brass Bandits jazz band will open the show at 6:30 p.m. with early 20th century hot jazz, ragtime and traditional New Orleans-style favorites. The ensemble features trumpet, trombone, clarinet, banjo, piano, percussion and tuba, creating the lively brass-band sound associated with traditional jazz and New Orleans music. Several members are Leisure World residents.
Food trucks Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ, Koffel’s and Scooter’s Ice Cream will have refreshments available for purchase.
This is the final show of the 2026 Amphitheater concert season.
The Brass Bandits Jazz Band will open the show with New Orleans style jazz favorites at 6:30 p.m.
