Democratic Club

An overwhelming number of LW Democrats and supporters gathered in Clubhouse 3 on April 23 to hear from LA Times columnist Gustavo Arellano. Speaking on the subject “What the Leisure World Dems Must Do to Save Democracy in Orange County and Beyond”, Arellano emphasized the importance of collective and individual support for locally based media as well as candidates running for election in local races.

As a lifelong resident of Orange County as well as long time editor of an OC newspaper, Arellano spoke with firsthand knowledge about the history of the county’s political life. He challenged those in attendance to share own personal stories about survival through troubling times in the history of the country.

Look for more information about Arellano’s presentation in future issues of the Democratic Club’s e-newsletter.
