The Democratic Club’s next monthly Voter Education session will be on Wednesday, March 19, in Clubhouse 3, Room 3, at 1 p.m. It will feature a presentation facilitated by board member Robert Cohen on how to research for reliable news reporting on the internet.
Advance registrations is not required for this session, although participation is limited by the size of Room 3. Contact Voter Education Coordinator Beverley Bender at beverleybender@ gmail. com for more information.
The next club membership meeting will be on Wednesday, March 26, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 1:30 p.m. All LW Democrats and supporters are invited to arrive as early as 12:30 to socialize with other like-minded members.
Club members can also join the meeting by Zoom.
The keynote speaker for this March 26th membership meeting willbeLauraOatman. She is the official representative for Indivisible in Leisure World’s 47th Congressional District. For a number of years facilitated by board member Robert Cohen,Indivisible has been actively providing local groups with the tools to win elections.
Congressman Dave Min, the 47th District representative in the House has introduced the Bolstering America’s Democracy and Demanding Oversight and Government Ethics Act. This legislation would repeal an executive order establishing and implementing DOGE.
