LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL CLUB

The Let the Good Times Roll Club will hold a rock and roll show this Saturday, May 17, at 6 p.m. in Clubhouse 2. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

In tune with Armed Forces Day, club members will perform songs by Kate Smith, Pete Seeger, Don McLean, Aaron Tippin, Lee Greenwood, other patriotic songs and selections with red, white or blue in the title.

After, the Legends of Rock Dance Band will play dance music until 9:15. People are encouraged to bring their own snacks and drinks. People who wear a patriotic shirt, blouse, hat, hair decoration or jewelry will get one free raffle ticket for a drawing of patriotic-themed decorations. Coffee, ice, cookies and cups will be provided.

All residents and their guests are welcome. No admission charged, but donations support the club’s mission to provide fun evenings of live entertainment for the community.

The club is looking for someone to assist in setting up sound equipment and with its karaoke computer. Those interested should call Martha Destra at 562-225-0037.

The Doo Wop Club will perform a free show on May 17, followed by a performance by the Legends of Rock Dance Band.
