Tax volunteers fi le a record of 750 returns this year

Thanks to the help of 28 Golden Age Foundation (GAF) volunteers, 750 2024 tax returns were e-filed for free. With two new captains at the helm, the group managed to exceed the number of e-filed returns for the second year in a row.

Volunteers were busy throughout the tax season, making residents’ appointments, and greeting, preparing, reviewing and e-filing both federal and state tax returns. Three residents were so impressed with the system they asked to sign up to be a volunteer next year.
