Photo Arts Club

The Photo Arts Club will meet Thursday, Jan. 9, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. Bring an iPhone, Android and/or camera.

The assignment is “funny/ humorous.”

Submissions should depict a humorous situation, a funny sign or anything that members’ creativity produces. People should e-mail their best three photos to Ben Benjamins at benbenjamins@hotmail.com at least three days prior to Jan. 9. The photos will be shown at the meeting.

A Facebook page has been created for all LW residents interested in photography. On Facebook, look for “Photographic Arts Club of Leisure World.” This is a private page to avoid outside ads or comments.

To join, hit the “join” button, and LW residents will be approved. Feel free to post your favorite photos there.

In the “comments” section, people can ask questions about cameras, iPhones or photography in general. A quick response will be provided.

For the meeting, members may bring any photos of their choice to be displayed and commented on.

Also, annual dues of $10 will be payable. Individuals with technical or other questions will be paired with someone who can help them for individual discussion after the meeting.
