It is important to communicate clearly with shareholders regarding this program, including any questions about what becomestheshareholder’s responsibility and what, if anything, remains the Mutual’s responsibility when a shower in your Mutual is cut down. Mulqueen expressed his appreciation for hearing everyone’s comments, noting that they were both helpful and reassuring. He also shared that many of the topics and concerns discussed closely mirrored those currently on the minds of GRF directors. Mulqueen announced that a Director Recognition Party will be held on Dec. 5 and encouraged all directors to save the date. All building inspectors have been provided with iPads and should be utilizing them for inspection notes, pictures, etc. Mulqueen also addressed the issue with the 28-day posting for GRF Notice of Proposed Rule Change, the council advises GRF board to defer rule(s) implementation until a more formal and legally appropriate process for providing notice, posting information, and obtaining comments from shareholders hasbeenestablished.Mulqueen addressed a question regarding GRF director’s resignation.

The GRF board has approved an isolated lefthand turn signal on north and south bound St. Andrews and a contract for Clubhouse 2 roofing has been executed; both projects should begin soon. Weaver addressed the confusion regarding Dr. Pest notifications and reports, clarifying the distinction between the two. Weaver elaborated on the street sweeping and parking issue that takes place on the four Wednesday evening and Thursday morning every month. Clubhouse 2 is the only lot that allows overnight parking. Weaver will bring Mutual Street Sweeping concerns (re: efficacy, lack of parking options, etc.) to GRF Facilities Committee. Mutuals are entitled to one (1) cleaning of Organic Waste Bins per year and must be requested through Physical Properties. Norvell also discussed the proposed $600,000 reduction in GRF labor services and the impact on the mutuals and on quality of life for shareholders. Norvell noted that it is premature to comment at this time. Although a motion has been made, each committee is still conducting its final budget review. Until the final budget is established, he cannot provide specific details regarding how the allocated funds will be managed. Norvell advised Mutual boards to contact their respective GRF representatives with any questions or concerns regarding the motion, as the GRF representatives will be responsible for voting on the matter and making the final decision at the upcoming meeting. Norvell addressed a question regarding last month’s GRF board meeting.

• Executive Manager Dave Potter provided information on Budgets and reserve studies. Eight Mutuals have passed their budgets and adopted their reserve study by the end of September. Potter did not have an update regarding the insurance renewal for the upcoming year. However, he provided revised estimates, including conservative and optimistic low-end bids, both of which are below the amount currently budgeted.
