PHOTO ARTS CLUB
The Photo Arts Club will meet Nov. 12 at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. The assignment is to photograph squares. Send three images to Ben Benjamins at benbenjmains@hotmail.com by Nov. 12 to be featured in the meeting presentation.
Photographers are also welcome to bring photos of their choice to be displayed and commented on.
Ziggy Romano will hold his regularly scheduled class on photo editing techniques—and answering iPhone and camera questions—today, Oct. 22, in Clubhouse 3, Room 3, at 1:30 p.m. The class will not be held in November or December due to scheduling conflicts with holidays.
At the Nov. 12 meeting, the club will elect a president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. The club is also considering the election of a curator, who would ensure that policy guidelines are followed for the display of photos in Clubhouse 3 and the hallway in the Optum Health Care Center.
At the end of each meeting, attendees are paired with experts regarding technical questions, editing lessons, etc. She volunteered to assist in editing Apple iPhone photographs and asked for other volunteers.
At the Oct. 8 meeting, Ben Benjamins displayed photos of leaves on the large-screen television, all of which were submitted by club members in adherence to the club’s monthly photography theme. The images were excellent and creative. As each image was shown, Benjamins and members made comments and suggestions.
