Sunshine Club
The Sunshine Club will not meet on Friday, June 26, due to the GRF Life Option Expo in Clubhouse 4, for more information, see page 1.
The Sunshine Club meets every Friday from 10 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. There are no membership dues, and all Leisure World residents are welcome to join.
The Sunshine Club was established in January 2012 with the mission of “Building Bridges for a Brighter Leisure World.” The club hosts speakers specializing in fields such as finance, safety, real estate, medicine, as well as administrative leaders from within the community. Since 2013, the club has supported the Golden Age Foundation (GAF) as its primary charity.
Through fundraising events like the annual rummage sale and day trips, the club has donated $11,970 to the community. These contributions have funded local benches and the GAF’s gift basket program.
On July 10, Dr. Allison Fathalizadeh will speak about surgical procedures, Seal Beach Police Captain Michael Henderson will speak on July 17, Maryann Shaddow from On-Site Home Sales on July 24 and GRF Physical Property Manager Kevin Black will speak on July 31.
