Club sets up virtual video library of classical music and masterpieces
ART HISTORY CLUB
The Art History Club will meet Thursday, May 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Clubhouse 4. Members will listen to the following repertoire:
• Korean young musician, Tae Han Kim, baritone: Schumann, Widmung (2:10); Massenet, “Vision fugitive”
• Korean young musician, Yun Chan Lim, pianist: Beethoven “Piano Concerto No. 4, Mov. I”
• Art Movement-12, Expressionism • Art Movement-13, Cubism
• Yanni, “Tribute”
• Mozart, “Piano Concerto No. 20, Mov II” and “Romanze”
• ABBA, “Dancing Queen,” “Fernando,” and “Chiquitita” Recently, the club set up a virtual library of classical music digital files which comprises 180 selections of masterpieces, so members can view and listen to the great music for the coming 12 months of lectures. The video files consist of seven categories: symphonies, piano performances, violin performances, opera, art songs, concert and chamber works, and masses and requiems.
