The Golden Rain Foundation Board of Directors ratified committee assignments on June 18. The five committees are Administration, Facilities, Finance, Member Services and Operations. They meet monthly and are open to the public.

Here is a quick overview of each committee’s purview and meeting schedule. Administration Committee

The purpose of the Administration Committee is to oversee GRF’s human resources functions and its adherence to principles of good governance; and project a future vision for the community and suggest actions necessary to fulfill that vision.

Members of this committee are Vicki Burdman, chair; James Farr, Sandy Geffner, Mark Hughes, Kathryn Jones, Namil Shin and Jeffrey Mulqueen. The committee meets on the second Thursday at 10 a.m. in Conference Room A.

Facilities Committee

The purpose of the Facilities Committee is to oversee the construction, upgrading and preservation of GRF’s physical plant and fleet, including those open spaces hosting amenities, as well as the delivery of maintenance services to Mutual corporations under the terms of the Management Agreement.

Its areas of oversight include: building and infrastructure assessment, architectural design, trust property maintenance, project management, the Service Maintenance Department, Mutual and trust property outside services contracts, environmental services and compliance, and fleet asset management.

Members of this committee are James Farr, chair; Steve Edrich, Mark Hughes, Edward Jablonski, Tim Kearns, Nick Massetti, Teri Nugent and Namil Shin. The committee meets on the first Thursday at 10 a.m. in Conference Room A.

Finance Committee

The purpose of the Finance Committee is to assist the GRF Board of Directors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities with respect to the monitoring and oversight of the GRF’s financial resources.

Its areas of oversight include issues pertaining to finance, purchasing, budgets, investments, the reserve study, capital funds, reserve funds, the capital improvement fund, fees and the annual audit.

Members of this committee are Sandy Geffner, chair; James Farr, Linda Herman, Kathryn Jones, Pattricia Vienna and Luke Wang. The committee meets on the third Monday at 1 p.m. in Conference Room A.

Member Services Committee The purpose of the Member Services Committee is to oversee and enhance members’ engagement with GRF properties, local assistance organizations and available transportation services. The committee also oversees GRF’s wide array of recreational, entertainment and educational programs.

Its areas of oversight include member programming such as community events, the LW Library, Recreation services, custodial contracts, resident transportation, community outreach and Client Services.

Members of this committee are Mark Hughes, chair; Michael Banfield, Steve Edrich, Sandy Geffner, Marla Hamblin, Nick Massetti and Teri Nugent. The committee meets on the second Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Conference Room A Operations Committee

The purpose of the Operations Committee is to oversee GRF functions delivered to members and the Mutual corporations, including gate access, communications, IT, security services and Stock Transfer.

Its areas of oversight include gate access, communications such as the LW Weekly newspaper, IT systems, Security services like parking enforcement and decals, and Stock Transfer.

Members of this committee are Kathryn Jones, chair; Vicki Burdman, Linda Herman, Edward Jablonski, Namil Shin, Pattricia Vienna and Luke Wang. The committee meets on the first Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Conference Room A.

While not a committee, the GRF Community Rules and Violation Panel (CRV) is an impartial body that conducts hearings and reviews appeals filed by residents who have been issued citations for violating community regulations. Panel members are Marla Hamblin, chair; Michael Banfield, Tim Kearns and Teri Nugent. The panel meets on the third Tuesday at 10 a.m. as needed in Conference Room A.
