The congregation will celebrate this day on Sept. 13. This day marks the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, which honors the cross Jesus was crucified. It was first observed in Rome before the end of the 7th century. The sign of the cross is a reminder of believers’ baptism into the life, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
