Scrabble Club

The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets every Wednesday in Clubhouse 3, Room 5, from 1-4 p.m. New members of all levels of skill are welcome.

The club met on two Wednesdays in late August and on Sept. 2. There were 25 scores above 300 and 14 bingos (i.e. the use of all seven tiles in one move). While these scores are all substantial, prospective members should know that there are others that are lower.

Diane Seeger led with eight totals above 300 and two bingos. Her scores ranged from 302-402. Suthy Edgar had seven bingos. She topped 300 five times with a range from 347-445. Larry Edgar bettered 300 seven times with three bingos. His scores ranged from 330-382. Jim Schneiderman posted scores of 300 and 342, with two bingos. Sue Ann Gass had scores of 313 and 301. Sylvia Makus recorded a 304.
