AuthorSpeak with Rose Molina: Aug. 7

The Leisure World Library will hold its second AuthorSpeak event of 2026 at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, in Clubhouse 4.

Author Rose Molina will discuss her Bookfest-winning comingof- age historical fiction novel, “A Very Fine House.” Set in the United States amidst the turbulent events at home and abroad during the Vietnam War, the novel follows teenager Letty Marquez. Letty and her friends discover an elegant but decrepit Victorian mansion near their school and make it their hideaway from world outside.

The book is appropriate for both middle grade and adult readers alike. Family members and grandchildren are welcome to attend.

The presentation begins promptly at 11 a.m. Arrive as early as 10:30 a.m. to enjoy refreshments provided by the library and to find preferred seating. Books will be available for purchase.
