Where We Live Club

The Where We Live Club hosted an informative presentation by GRF Treasurer Sandy Geffner on July 6, who provided updates on several initiatives before answering questions from those who attended.

Among the presentation’s highlights included information about the new Audio Visual Accessibility (AVA) program, funded largely by the Golden Age Foundation. Expected to be operational by the end of July, the system will provide live closed captioning and multilingual translation in Clubhouses 3 and 4 and Conference Rooms A and B, making meetings more accessible to all residents.

Geffner also encouraged shareholders to submit Trust-Point Cards with both compliments and suggestions, noting that Executive Director David Norvell reviews every response. Residents were reminded that committee meetings are the best way to stay informed and participate in community governance.

Additional topics included the review of the Board’s Code of Ethics, the process for filling the vacant Mutual 16 Board seat, and an overview of the GRF budget, including insurance and personnel costs.

People are welcome to join the next Where We Live Club meeting on Monday, Aug. 3, from 6-7 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. Nick Massetti will present “Shared Values as a Basis for Trust.”
