The Emergency Buddy System, a group created and organized by residents of Mutual 2, recently held its first emergency drill at “Parcel A”, (one of its seven Emergency Parcels) with a select group of volunteers.

The Emergency Buddy System invited Seal Beach Sgt. Brian Grey to introduce the Neighbor for Neighbor (N4N) program, which provides opportunities for neighbors to pool their talents and resources. The goal is to strengthen the community’s ability to withstand and recover from disasters, help prevent crimes, look out for one another and get to know one another better.

The Emergency Buddy System would also like to thank GRF Safety Manager Eloy Gomez for introducing them to Grey and the program. The program’s guidelines closely align with those established by the Emergency Buddy System 11 years ago—both rooted in a shared commitment to the safety and well-being of the community.

Mutual 2 and the Emergency Buddy System looks forward to becoming an active partner in Neighbor for Neighbor. This opportunity is open to all Mutuals.
