The GRF Recreation Department will hold a special brunch to honor Leisure World mothers on Saturday, May 9, in Clubhouse 4 at 11 a.m. This is always a huge success, and tickets are expected to sell out, so now is the time to drop hints to family members who would like to treat mom, as this has turned into a family event. The event is sponsored by OsteoStrong Seal Beach and Alignment Health.

Leisure World residents enjoyed a beautiful day on the water during a community whale watching trip on March 25, departing from Long Beach Harbor. The group headed out via boat along the Southern California coastline in search of marine wildlife. The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays in Clubhouse 2 from 10 a.m.-noon. Albert Comia leads the first hour of the class for beginners. After a break, Karen Kei teaches more advanced routine.
