The Woman’s Club of Leisure World will meet Tuesday, May 5, in Clubhouse 2. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the meeting begins at 1:30. Each month, the club gives to local organizations that provide aid in the local community. New members are welcome to join this philanthropic club. Annual dues are $25. The Cribbage Club meets every Tuesday at noon in Clubhouse 1. Refreshments are served from noon-12:15, and anyone arriving by 12:15 will be assured a place to play. One dollar is collected from each player and those finishing in the top four scores are awarded prize money the following week. A total of seven games are played. The club welcomes new players. The LW Chess Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 7, from 1-4:30 p.m. Beginners lessons are available. Keep Alzheimer’s and dementia at bay by practicing this strategy game, proven to improve short and long-term memory and critical thinking skills. Tournament Poker Club will play May 9 in CH 6


Those who would like to play a fun and friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em for a $5 buy-in can play with the Tournament Poker Club on Saturday, May 9, in Clubhouse 6. Regular tournaments are held on the first three Saturdays of every month and start at 10 a.m. with registration. Cards are in the air at 10:30. There is no late seating. Shuffl eboard courts well utilized Monday mornings


The Shuffleboard Club general membership meeting is Monday, May 4, in Clubhouse 1 at 10 a.m. Monday morning practice will begin at 8:30. that day to allow for members to attend both practice and the meeting. On a recent Monday morning, club members enthusiastically utilized the courts. Thirteen members were happily honing their skills and practicing strategies to improve their league games.
