Free pickleball lessons available


The pickleball courts, located behind Clubhouse 2, are open daily from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. for residents. Those who are interested in learning to play pickleball are invited to the courts on Wednesday mornings at 10, when instruction is offered at no cost. Cribbage Club meets Tuesdays at noon in CH 1


The Cribbage Club meets every Tuesday at noon in Clubhouse 1. Refreshments are served each week from noon-12:15, and anyone arriving by 12:15 will be assured a place to play. Brief announcements are made before playing at 12:30. Yearly dues are $5 and each player pays $1 when they play. Those finishing in the top four scores will be awarded prize money the following week. LW Pool Club


In the third round of the Monday fall pool league of the LW Pool Club, the Ball Busters beat Hot Sticks 9-4, winning five of their singles matches and losing only one. John Burns and Jennifer Spindler of the Ball Busters won five of their seven games. In another 9-4 match, RDS beat the Renagators. RDS won five of their doubles games and finished by winning the final three-person eight ball match.

America First Republican Club

Instead, the club will celebrate its growing membership with a member appreciation picnic on Saturday, Sept. 20, from noon-4 p.m. at the Clubhouse 1 picnic area.
