Sunshine Club
Lisa Jenkins, president and CEO of the Council on Aging– Southern California, will speak to the Sunshine Club on Friday, Nov. 6, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served.
Jenkins will present “Aging My Way,” an engaging seminar to help older adults develop their plan to thrive in retirement.
With the gift of greater longevity, retirement is a longer and important stage of life. The seminar and the accompanying 32-page “Aging My Way” guide provide thought-provoking strategies to help individuals be proactive and intentional about their future by focusing on eight key components: 1. Fostering health and wellbeing.
2. Nurturing connections with family and friends.
3. Pursuing lifelong learning. 4. Budgeting for aging and retirement. 5. Considering your legacy. 6. Assembling and communicating with a care team. 7. Questions to consider when creating a plan. 8. Creating their own “Aging My Way” binder. Aging My Way helps put a plan in place today and be more confident about what tomorrow may bring. To learn more visit: www.coasc.org.
