Shuf. eboard Club to welcome Laguna Woods

The Leisure World Shuffleboard Club will be joined by the Laguna Woods Shuffleboard Club on Monday, Oct. 19, from 9-11:30 a.m. The get together starts with a warm welcome to the courts and members, followed by fruit and muffins, as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate or water.

Each club will play two games, switching players around from team to team. After the games are over, the group will convene again at Hof ’s Hut for lunch.

The connection between the two clubs began under the leadership of Kay Mount. This year it was Leisure World’s turn to step up to the plate and offer to host. A big shout out to Sue Burkschab who made the arrangements.

Sign ups are available at the courts for the annual Halloween party, which will be held in potluck style on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 5-9 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 1.

Sept. 29 Tuesday league results: Team Lynne edged out Team Jesus 7-5. Team Sally whomped Team Sue 10-2. All game winners were Roger Bennett, Arlene Cullison, Sandy Derouin, Rita Filohoski, Sally Fowler, Lynne Haines, Lori Propert, Linda Peters and Ellie West.
