Community Church

Community Church meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at 14000 Church Place. People can also watch weekly sermons on the Community Church Leisure World Facebook page.

The week of Sunday, Aug. 30, is Community Church’s last week of “Ordinary Time.” That doesn’t mean it’s ordinary; it means it follows the Ordinal, the counting of weeks after Pentecost. Pentecost was the reminder that all are welcome to experience the love of God. Community Church takes that welcome seriously. Members believe the call of Jesus wasn’t to repent and believe, but rather to go beyond and act. Those who have been hurt by the church in the past are welcome to join.

The church’s Blessing of the Animals will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 9:30. People are responsible for the care and behavior of the animals they bring, and can also bring a photo of the pet if it’s more convenient.
