The American Legion Auxiliary of Leisure World Unit 327 officially kicked off the 2026-2027 season with its first meeting on Aug. 17.

Dedicated to serving those who served, the organization relies on community initiatives like making poppies and hosting weekly Bingo games to raise vital funds. Every dollar generated directly supports local veterans and their families, ensuring their diverse needs are met throughout the year. ••• Purchase Poppies on Sept. 3 Members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 327 will be stationed at the Amphitheater on Sept. 3 to hand out red poppies during the highly anticipated Beatles tribute concert.

The red poppy has served as an international symbol of military remembrance since World War I. Inspired by the famous wartime poem “In Flanders Fields,” these handmade flowers symbolize the blood shed by service members protecting national freedoms. All funds are dedicated to assisting veterans, active-duty military members, and their families. Donations are welcome.
