LW Baptist Church

LW Baptist Church will meet at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The message this week will be about how honoring God’s holiness is essential to worship.

Jesus taught this when he said to pray, “Our Father Who art in Heaven hallowed be thy name.” Heaven’s angelic creatures say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God the Almighty who was and who is and who is to come.”

Leaders of Heaven’s worship sing, “Worthy art thou our Lord and our God to receive glory and honor and power, for thou did create all things and because of thy will they existed and were created.”

The Bible mentions God’s goodness in prayer,“Thou art not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; no evil dwells with Thee.” God’s people are set apart to him out of this world. They are in the world, but not of it. And God says to them, “You shall be holy, for I am Holy.”

The Bible calls believers saints 62 times to point out that they belong to God, not to this world. God says that the purpose of this distinction is that his people may “Proclaim God's excellencies, the One who called them out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
