LW Assembly of God meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby. Wednesday Bible study is at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.

Being invited to a fancy dinner can be delightful. The expectation of wonderful food, lavish decoration, first-rate entertainment and pleasant company creates anticipation. Jesus knew how connected humans are to their enjoyment of delicious food and a good party. He used the example of the events and activities surrounding a banquet to illustrate three lessons in Luke 14:7-24. Pastor Chuck Franco will continue his series on the parables on Sunday, July 26, with a message titled “Invitation to a Banquet.”

The Bible study will not meet on Wednesday, July 29. It will resume on Aug. 5 with a message titled“The God Who Confronts,” from Jeremiah 7:1-10:25.
