The Sunshine Club will host a picnic in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, starting at 10 a.m. on July 3. Over 70 members will attend to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday. Registration is now closed. This event will replace the club’s annual picnic that is usually held in Clubhouse 1.

Burgers and potato salad, followed by watermelon for dessert, will be provided. Since its establishment in January 2012, the Sunshine Club has remained dedicated to “building Bridges for a brighter Leisure World.” For 15 years, the club has provided shareholders with essential information for retirement planning by hosting experts in finance, safety, real estate, and medicine, alongside community leaders. In addition to a summer picnic, there is also a year-end party in December.

The club supports the Golden Age Foundation as its primary charitable organization.

The speaker lineup for July is as follows: July 10, Dr. Allison Fathalizadeh, surgical procedures; July 17, Seal Beach Police Capt. Michael Henderson; July 24, Maryann Shaddow, On-Site Home Sales; and July 31, GRF Physical Property Manager Kevin Black.

The Sunshine Club meets every Friday from 10 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. There are no membership dues, and all Leisure World residents are welcome. For more information, text 562-301-5339.
