On June 21, Seal Beach Sa-Rang Church, led by senior pastor Rev. John Lee, held a special service to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War, which began with North Korea’s invasion on June 25, 1950.

During the service, the congregation took time to honor three of their own members who are decorated Korean War veterans.

Special awards were presented to Rev. Gyomin Soh, Elder Sungyou Hong, and Elder Hongyul Huh (who was recognized in absentia) to express the church’s deep gratitude for their service.

In his sermon, Rev. Lee emphasized the spiritual duty of the Christian believer, urging the congregation to become “warriors of faith” and to resolutely overcome communism through the power of faith.
