First Christian Church

First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, most often verse by verse.

It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.

Pastor’s Message

This Sunday, July 5, the church will look at Timothy, a book in the New Testament, which originated as a letter from Paul the apostle to a young man, Timothy.

He had become a pastor at a church founded by Paul in the city of Ephesus.

The letter was intended to help Timothy and encourage him to stay the course through difficulties.

Paul reminded all that the only important focus is Christ who is merciful and patient with even the greatest of sinners and it is through belief in Him that we can be assured of eternal life.

Paul wrote the following, 1 Timothy 1:15-16 “It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom, I Paul, am foremost of all.

“Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.”

Weekly Services

Sunday services are traditional services from 9:30-10:45 a.m. with hymnal music led by Janet Ray with Sherry Parmenter at the piano.

Al and Sherry Parmenter will bring the special music.

Saturday services from 9:3010:45 a.m. include contemporary songs of worship, led by Gregory Black with guitar and vocal accompaniment.

A Women’s Bible Study, led by Melli Herrera, meets Mondays at from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

The Thursday Bible Study is from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

A Friday Prayer and Bible Study is from 4-5 p.m.

All Leisure World residents are welcome.
