Produce Box program returns on June 25 at Clubhouse 6

Leisure World residents can stock up on fresh, healthy produce when the Produce Box Program returns on Thursday, June 25, in the Clubhouse 6 parking lot. Distribution runs from 10 a.m.-noon, and early arrival is encouraged.

For $10 cash, residents will receive 12 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables, preboxed and ready to take home. Seasonal selections typically include a mix of staples and favorites, offering an affordable way to boost nutrition and stretch grocery budgets.

Participants must bring their GRF ID card to receive a box. The program is sponsored by the Leisure World Lions Club, whose members will be on-site assisting with distribution.

The Lions encourage neighbors to spread the word so every resident who could benefit from the program knows about this opportunity.
