LW Men’s Golf Club
The LW Men’s Golf Club tournament was held on June 10 at the Turtle Lake Golf Course.
Forty-six golfers teed off starting at 7:30 a.m. with each man competing for best net scores, four circle holes (shots within a 5-foot radius rewarded), and two closest to the pin challenges. Twenty-six of the 46 men scored net at or under par, and there were 52 birdies and 11 circle hole winners.
Closest to the pin on No. 6 was Bob Barnum and on No. 15 it was Thomas Kim. Average net score for the round was 54.5. Low net score for the round was Jae H. Lee at 8 under 46, followed by Roland Phillips,7 under 47; and Art Salazar and Ron Steele, 6 under 48. Low gross for the round was Thomas Kim at 1 under 53.
A flight winners (handicaps of 0-6): Alan Sewell, Thomas Kim, Andrew Kim and Barnum, first place; Bob Johnston, second; Dave LaCascia, John Kolthoff and Steve Walker, third.
B flight winners (handicaps of 7-12): Jae H. Lee, first place; Phillips, second; Steele, third; Rolando Ramirez, fourth; Steve Kang and Bud Young, fifth; Dennis McMonigle and Hyon Shin, sixth; Richard Yokomi and Mark Tal, seventh.
C flight winners (handicaps of 13-18): Salazar, first place; Sam Dokko, second; Kevin Lindstedt, third; Won Park and Ron Osgood, fourth; Jole Kellum, fifth; Todd Chidchester, sixth; Jon Russell, seventh.

Several people have expressed interest in a proposed nine hole tournament for golfers who have diffi culty walking 18 holes. A few more play- ers are needed before the tournament can be started.
