The Seal Beach Leisure World Democratic Club is excited to announce that community leader and voter advocate Jeffrey Cardenas will be the featured guest speaker at its meeting on Wednesday, June 24, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.

As the organizing director for the Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC), Cardenas brings over a decade of valuable campaign and government experience. He has been a friend and ally to the LW club for several years, serving as an essential grassroots partner for its local Get-Out-The-Vote efforts. By ensuring volunteers always have the voter data and canvassing lists needed to knock on the right doors. Cardenas has helped the club maximize its impact across the Leisure World community.

Beyond campaign strategy, Cardenas is a staunch defender of voter rights. He represents the DPOC on the OC Registrar of Voters Community Election Working Group, where he has spent years collaborating with local officials on election administration, voter outreach, and ensuring safe, accessible elections for all. Cardenas will be available to discuss how Orange County election results are reported and how to best interpret those results. The doors open at 1 p.m., people are welcome to come early and bring a lunch.

The hospitality booth is open on open the first Tuesday and the third Thursday of each month, outside Clubhouse 6 from 10:30 a.m-12:30 p.m. At the booth, people can register to vote, update their address, or change their party affiliation with the help of the club volunteers. The booth also offers campaign literature, lively discussions on current events, and a welcoming environment for people to share thoughts with like-minded neighbors.
