June 14—Third Sunday after Pentecost
The Gospel lesson for this week is from Matthew 9:35-10:823. Jesus sends his followers out to preach with no money, no extra clothes, no reservations on where to stay. The only thing they had to take was his words and actions. Thousands of years later, disciples are still being sent to go and preach the good news. Jesus’s followers are only equipped with Jesus’s words and actions to share—and our trust and faith in him.
