Red Cross Blood Drive is July 10 in HCC

LW residents are invited to celebrate Americas 250th anniversary and help save lives by participating in a Red Cross blood drive on Friday, July 10, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in Optum Health Care Center, 1661 Golden Rain Road, Seal Beach, 90740. This year, Red Cross has partnered with Looney Tunes. Those who donate blood June 29-July 12 will receive an iconic American Red Cross Looney Tunes T-shirt while supplies last.

To prepare for a blood donation, people are encouraged to get a good night s sleep, eat a healthy meal including iron-rich foods such as eggs, meat and spinach, and drink an extra 16 ounces of water.
