Joyful Line Dance
The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays in Clubhouse 2 from 10 a.m.-noon. The first hour of the class is for beginners to intermediate dancers. After a brief break, the second hour of the class is dedicated to more advanced dances. Classes are taught by long-time member Nak-Soo. People are encouraged to stay for the second half of the class, regardless of skill level. Club President Anna Derby says “it takes up to six months for most people to get comfortable and learn more advanced dances.”
People must be members of the club to take classes, and sign in with their names, Mutual and unit numbers. Annual membership is $20 and cannot be prorated. Exercise shoes are recommended. Everyone is welcome.
For more information, contact Anna Derby at 562-301-5339.
The club encourages its members to attend classes regularly to build confidence and improve their dancing skills.
