Y SERVICE CLUB REUNION

Residents who were members of the now-defunct Y Service Club of Leisure World are invited to attend a club reunion on Aug. 27, with specific information provided when they RSVP. The Y Service Club wants to have as many past members attend as possible. For over 20 years, the Y Service Club volunteered to help residents with non-professional tasks they could no longer do independently or safely. The club referred to these calls for help as "jobs." Through the years, club members wearing their distinctive yellow vests helped their Leisure World neighbors on hundreds of "jobs." Although the Y Service Club disbanded a few years ago, members bonded as friends and miss seeing and talking with each other.
