After 15 weeks of play in the LW Pool Club, The Tumbleweeds beat The Bees 7-6 to win the Monday league with a season record of 110 wins and 85 losses.

It just happened that the first-place Tumbleweeds met the second-place Bees on the final night. Roy Mittlestead, The Tumbleweeds A player, led his team with six wins, including both of his singles matches. The Bees finished with a record of 106 wins and 89 losses. The Burners beat The Rustlers 8-5 to finish in third place. Elizabeth Butterfield led The Burners with six wins, and she won both of her singles matches. BDG edged The Renegades 7-6. Bruce Pettys and Guta Basner won five games each for BDG.

The high percentage players in the Monday league were Rusty Aquino, 17 and 11, A level; Phuoc Tran, 17 and 7, B level; Jennifer Spindler, 18 and 8, C level.

In the Wednesday league, The Pool Addicts ran away with it, beating The Favorites 11-2. Jeff Furlong won all seven of his games, and Steve Edrich and Milly Larsen won six. The Pool Addicts won 122 games with 73 losses to finish 21 games ahead of the second place Favorites. Rack & Rollers beat Chalk Dirty 2 Me 8-5. However, Chalk Dirty 2 Me finished in third place. Ron Kennedy continued his sharpshooting ways by winning all seven of his games. Break & Run beat The Predators 8-5. Cornel Sneekes won six games and both of his singles matches for Break & Run.

The high percentage players for singles in the Wednesday league were: Dave Silva, 19 and 7, A level; Jeff Furlong, 22 and 8, B level; and Ron Thompson, 18 and 6, C level.

In winter snooker league action, there were seven playoff qualifiers. Rusty Aquino’s first place finish in the regular season advanced him into a semi-final spot. Wins by John Barth, Steve Edrich and Jeffrey Furlong also advanced them into the semis. In the final match, Aquino set the tempo with a display of great shot-making and defensive wizardry. Furlong came back with some nice creativity, but Aquino held on to win the championship.

In the once-a-year poolathon tournament, Ron Kennedy displayed a vast array of skills, cruising to a 7-1 record for first place, followed by Steve Edrich and Ruffy Ramos.
