LW Yoga Club helps build strength to prevent falls

One of the ways to prepare for a long life is to prevent falls. Falls can be the start of a downward spiral. Yoga is one of the tools that can help build core strength, balance and awareness of how the body holds itself upright, preventing falls.

The LW Yoga Club meets on Wednesdays in Clubhouse 6 for two classes upstairs in the mirror room. Classes are 9 a.m. and 10:15 and are $8 each. There is also an outdoor yoga class at 10:15 on Tuesdays at Veterans Plaza for the same cost. All classes are guided by certified instructors.

Bring a yoga mat. Chairs for students who may need added support are available.
