Deadline to submit artwork for Art In Bloom exhibition extended to May 19

The 2026 Art in Bloom fine art exhibition is June 20 from 4-7 p.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.

The deadline to submit artwork for inclusion in the Art in Bloom art exhibition has been extended to midnight on May 19, four days later than originally posted. The exhibition welcomes art of all mediums including ceramics, digital art, drawing, fabric, fiber, glass, jewelry, lapidary, mixed-media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and wood. Exhibitor applications are available at the GRF Recreation Office in Building 5 or can be requested via email to lwsb.artleague@gmail.com.

Each application must be emailed with digital images (jpeg, png, or tiff formats preferred) of artwork attached. People who need digital images taken of their artwork can bring them to the Art Room of Clubhouse 4 on Saturday, May 16, from 10:30 a.m.-noon where pictures will be taken free of charge. Art in Bloom is a juried art show. Figurative and plein air artist Andrew Cortez will judge each entry. At the June 20 exhibition in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby, the award-winning artwork will display ribbons of recognition. Sponsored by the Golden Age Foundation and Gasper Monteer Realty Group, Art in Bloom displays artwork created by Leisure World residents. Residents who are not current league members will receive their first-year membership when submitting their $30 exhibitor fee. Last year’s Art in Bloom attracted hundreds of art fans who viewed 130 art pieces from 41 artists. This year’s exhibition is projected to exceed last year’s attendance and artist participation. Gasper Monteer Realty Group will serve free wine to attendees.
