LEISURE WORLD LIONS CLUB

Leisure World residents will have an opportunity to receive free vision screenings and eyeglasses when California Lions Friends in Sight brings its mobile eyecare clinic to Clubhouse 4 on Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. All residents are welcome, regardless of income, insurance, or prior eyecare access.

The event is hosted in partnership with the Seal Beach and Leisure World Lions Clubs, whose long-standing mission includes improving sight, preventing blindness, and supporting community health. A team of volunteer optometrists, Lions members, and trained assistants will provide vision testing, eye health evaluations, and recycled prescription eyeglasses at no cost.

Services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis; no appointments required. Residents are encouraged to arrive early, as Lions Friends in Sight events typically draw strong participation.

This clinic offers a valuable chance to update prescriptions, check for changes in vision, and address eye health concerns without financial barriers. Organizers emphasize that the goal is simple: ensure every resident who needs help with their vision receives it.

The clinic will be held inside Clubhouse 4, with clear signage directing residents to the screening area. Participants may bring their current glasses, though it is not required.
