First Christian Church

First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.

Pastor’s Message

This week’s message is from Romans 15:14-21. The apostle Paul begins to close out his letter to the Romans and tells the brethren that he is “convinced that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able also to admonish one another.” These are wonderful qualities to be found in a church and can only be accomplished by a strong devotion to the scriptures and prayer amongst believers.

Paul goes on to remind them of the grace that was given to him by God to bring Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. Paul gives all glory to God for his accomplishments amongst the new believers in Rome and throughout the regions he traveled ministering to the Gentiles, showing his power of signs and wonders in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thankfully, what began with Paul continues today in all regions of the world with committed missionaries taking the Gospel to the nations and the power of His spirit to bring hope to “They who had no news of Him,” Romans 15:21.
