JOYFUL LINE DANCE

The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays in Clubhouse 2 from 10 a.m.-noon. Karen Kei will lead a two-hour class today, April 30, with the help of experienced dancers—Carmel Atkinson, Gina Baik, Nak Soo Km, Helen Evangelista and Joy Azurin.

The classes start with an easy-to-follow routine, which advances in the second hour after a break. Kei also introduces a new dance every month to challenge and inspire the members to learn and advance.

People must be members of the club to take classes, and sign in with their names, Mutual and unit numbers. Annual membership is $20 and cannot be prorated. Exercise shoes are recommended. For more information, contact Anna Derby at 562-301-5339.

The club’s more advanced dancers may assist instructors in class, which has a positive impact on both the teachers and students.
