Learn how to navigate modern technology April 24
SUNSHINE CLUB
Jeff Plum will give a presentation titled “Tech Meets Community” to the Sunshine Club on Friday, April 24, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.
This comprehensive presentation is designed to help members navigate the modern digital landscape, demystify emerging technologies and provide practical security advice for everyday life.
Navigating the AI Era
The session kicks off with a look at Artificial Intelligence (AI), moving past “robot takeover” myths to explore how AI acts as a helpful assistant for identifying everything from songs to garden plants. Plum will also emphasize the “Garbage In—Garbage Out” principle, highlighting the importance of quality data in technology.
Digital Memories and Security For those looking to stay connected with family, a segment on digital picture frames will cover top brand recommendations, photo storage limits, and how loved ones can remotely share new memories.
The presentation will also tackle financial safety, providing a master list of agencies to help members lock down their credit reports. This crucial step prevents fraudulent accounts without affecting credit scores or the use of existing cards. Mastering Customer Service
Plum will also go over a guide to modern customer service. Attendees will learn tips for distinguishing real people from automated voices and strategies for reaching live representatives quickly. The event will conclude with questions, allowing members to get direct answers to their tech questions.
All residents are welcome to join this meeting. The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees, but donations are appreciated. For more information, contact Anna Derby at 562301-5339
