Scan vital documents onto
DISASTER PREPAREDNESS
The Emergency Information Council will hold its 10th free vital document scanning event on Monday, April 20, from 1-3 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 7.
Residents can bring wills, stock and membership certificates, medical power of attorney documents and other important papers to be scanned onto a free thumb drive. Driver’s license and credit cards will be copied and scanned as well. The thumb drive can easily fit in emergency go bags. Residents who have previously had documents scanned onto a drive can bring additional documents to be scanned onto their drive for free. For more information about the Emergency Information Council, visit www.eiclwsb.org.
Upcoming disaster drill: Boots on Ground, a community disaster response plan and drill, will hold a practice session on May 7. For more information or to volunteer, see page 15.
