Japanese American Club
The Japanese American Club will meet on Saturday, April 18, at 11:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The bento will be chicken or salmon and will be $12 for members and $15 for non members; dessert contributions are welcome. The phone committee will call members to get an estimate of how many bentos to order. Non-members can call Sherie Vanek at 714-916-6313 to order.
Fukuyo Tanaka will demonstrate the art of Japanese flower arrangement. She has asked if any members want to make an arrangement for free to bring a coffee mug and kitchen scissors to the meeting. Non members will need to pay $5 for the flowers, 30 people maximum can attend the event.
An agency is offering the club a Las Vegas bus tour on May 13-15, with overnight lodging at the Golden Nugget for $380 for a double bed room. The Red Rock Canyon tour is also available for $40. People must RSVP as soon as possible by calling Sherie Vanek at 714-916-6313.
