God wants believers to experience victory in their daily lives. Like Caleb in the Old Testament book of Numbers, believers are able to possess the promised land by faith in God. But are they ready to conquer the giants there?

Anything that intimidates can be a giant. It can appear suddenly or be threatening for years. Believers either face them and get stronger, or go backward. Giants can be spiritual, emotional, or even be an attitude.

Believers must trust in God’s ability to defeat them.

When David faced the giant, he chose his sling and five smooth stones as his weapon. For believers, the Word of God is their best weapon. When people know, pray and practice his promises from Scripture and do not quit, they will see their giants defeated.

Here are some Scripturestones believers can hurl at the giants facing them today:

• Luke 18:27: “Things that are impossible with man are possible with God.”

• Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.”

• Psalm 37:23-24: “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”
