The Leisure World spring pool leagues began on Feb. 16, and Feb. 18. The Pool Club decided to make this a 15 week league instead of 10 weeks. That means the leagues will play every other team three times. With playoffs and sweepstakes, the two leagues will end the season on June 8. Years ago, the Pool Club was all men. The Cribbage Club meets Tuesdays at noon in Clubhouse 1. Refreshments are served from noon-12:15 and anyone arriving by 12:15 will be assured a place to play. Yearly dues are $5 and each player pays $1 to play. Those finishing in the top four scores will be awarded prize money the following week. A total of seven games are played each week. The LW Women’s Golf Club will hold its spring tournament on March 10 and 17. Two sign-up sheets are available in the golf starter shack. Entrants must play on both days to qualify for prize money.
