HAPPY UKULELE AND GUITAR COLLABORATION CLUB
The Happy Ukulele and Guitar Collaboration Club meets every Thursday from 8:15-11 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 6, to learn new songs and practice together. The club has performed for Sun Mar Nursing Home, the LW Korean American Association, and for birthday parties. On Feb. 28, the group performed at a welcome party for new LW r esidents. HUI O HULA
Hui O Hula, Leisure World’s Hawaiian dance club, welcomes residents looking for a fun and low-impact way to stay active. Free hula dance lessons are offered Tuesdays at 1 p.m. upstairs in Clubhouse 4; and Thursdays at 1 p.m. in the Optum Health Care Center conference room, next to the pharmacy. Stop in anytime to observe or join; participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing
Let the Good Times Roll Club: St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance
There are a few tickets left for the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance on Tuesday, March 17, in Clubhouse 2, with dinner served at 6 p.m. Tickets are required and cost $25 each or $180 for a table of eight. To purchase tickets, call Martha Destra at 562-225-0037.
