Free eyeglass clinic is June 28 in CH 6

OC SUPERVISOR JANET NGUYEN Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen is proud to partner with Lestonnac Free Clinic to provide an eyeglasses clinic for residents of Leisure World. This special event will be held June 28 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in Clubhouse 6. The clinic will offer free eye exams, and the eyeglasses will be made on site. There are no income limits, and services are provided at no cost

Senior Transportation Shuttle

CITY OF SEAL BEACH The Senior Shuttle Service is a free 20-passenger shuttle that runs on a fixed route throughout major city stops, including Seal Beach Pier/Old Town area, Leisure World, and Rossmoor Shopping Center/North Seal Beach Community Center. The Impaired Hearing Support Group

The Hearing Support Group, sponsored by the Impaired Vision and Hearing Group, will meet on Tuesday, June 17, in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, at 10 a.m. LW residents who have concerns about their hearing are welcome to attend. Caregivers are also welcome. Those with mobility issues can reserve a bus ride by calling 562-- 472-1367. For more information, call Sharon Kohn at 562-596-1969.

Wa-Rite

Wa-Rite is a female-only club that meets on Friday mornings from 9-10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45. Dues are $10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing in. LW ID cards must be shown. Women who want support on their weight-loss journey and to meet like-minded people are welcome to stop by no later than 8:45 to weigh-in and complete the registration paperwork. The GRF Transportation Department conducts monthly bus tours of Leisure World on first Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m., for all LW residents. Included are GRF clubhouses, Turtle Lake Golf Course, Mission Park and its activity courts and gaming rooms, the 1.8-Acre disposal and recycling area, as well as the Leisure World Library and the Main Gate bus station.
