Unity makes a community stronger. This page’s purpose is to relay a message of unity to the community and put a face to your GRF directors.
As GRF President, “I am the conductor of the orchestra”—a phrase I borrow from Interim Executive Director Dave Potter.
Every director and resident are equally important.
‘Christmas in July’ show is July 25 in Clubhouse 2
GONG CLUB
The Gong Club will host a Christmas in July show on Friday, July 25, in Clubhouse 2, starting with a happy hour at 6 p.m.
The Cool Blue Ensemble led by Richard Freedman will return to the stage.
People are welcome to join in to help set up the show and get in the Christmas mood. The event is BYOB. The club will provide snacks.
The party is free, though donations are appreciated.
Abilene returns to CH 2 on July 26
GRF WEEKEND DANCES
bilene will host its regular monthly boot scootin’ dance on Saturday, July 26, at Clubhouse 2, starting at 7 p.m. The doors will open and free dance lessons begin at 6:30. Reserving tables is prohibited.
Abilene is Leisure World Seal Beach’s No. 1 country rock band, going strong for nearly 20 years.

Ice cream social with writers club is July 25
PHOTO ARTS CLUB
The Photo Arts Club will meet Aug. 14 at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. People should bring their iPhone/ Android and/or camera. The assignment is “trees.” People should send three of their favorite photos to Ziggy Romano at siegfried.romano@gmail.com prior to the meeting.
The main issue for the meeting was the conclusion of the club’s joint venture with the Creative
